Blayne Pearce is a visual artist, born and raised in NY and currently based in Greenpoint, Brooklyn. Her mixed media paintings are intuitive and expressive, textural and immersive and incorporate materials such as sand, gravel, pumice, glass beads, wax, palo santo, and sometimes glitter. The dynamic layering of materials and textures speaks to her personal evolution and experiences. Curiosity, openness and instinct act as Blayne's guides; trusting the unknown is a theme in her approach to travel and art allowing her to view life as a blank canvas accompanied by both self and universal trust. Her work has been influenced by the experiences and global perspective she gained while living and working for over 5 years in Asia and Australia.
